UK. Ensuring drug and alcohol support for people fleeing Ukraine
Ukrainians fleeing war in their country are entitled to free access of public services in the UK, including local authority commissioned drug and alcohol services.
Legislation was passed earlier this month to ensure this group would receive the support they needed. Additional government guidance makes it clear that refugees and their dependents are exempt from healthcare charged. (Collective Voice, UK, April 2022)
