Over 1150 NPS from 137 countries and territories have been reported to the UNODC Early Warning Advisory on New Psychoactive Substances
- Benzodiazepine-type substances continue to be a primary NPS threat,
reported in 47% of post-mortem and 67% of drug driving cases
- Synthetic opioid NPS are the second highest group of NPS reported inboth post-mortem and drug driving cases. (UNODC, Wien, October 2022)
