UK.UK Government commits £780 million for drug treatment

Yesterday, the Department of Health and Social Care released a '10 year drug strategy' that committed to investing £780 million pounds into drug treatment services - the largest ever increase in spending in this area. This was a welcome surprise to us here at Drug Science and we are glad that these services are finally getting the support they need in order to deliver quality services to those in need. However, there is still more to be done... we propose three additional steps that the government should take to reduce the harms associated with addiction in our response here.
