USA. Safety First!

USA. Safety First!

Safety First: A Reality-Based Approach to Teens and Drugs was created by the Drug Policy Alliance and adopted by the Stanford REACH Lab. The purpose of this curriculum is to provide high school students with honest; scientifically accurate information that empowers them, if they choose to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, cannabis or other drugs, to reduce potential harms.

Safety First is designed to be implemented in high school classrooms by health teachers. It consists of 15 lessons that can be completed in a 45 to 50-minute class period. Each lesson is scripted to facilitate teacher use and designed to engage students through interactive activities such as group discussion, research, and role-playing. Stay tuned for updates to the curriculum and for a middle school version. (Stanford Medicine, USA, aufgerufen am 07.04.2023)
